On February 23, 2026, a rally dedicated to Defender of the Fatherland Day was held at the Ministry of Defense of the Kyrgyz Republic, attended by military personnel from the command bodies.
The Minister of Defense, Major General Ruslan Mukambetov, delivered a speech in which he emphasized that the state is making significant efforts to provide social security for its military personnel. "We will continue our work on providing housing, constructing modern military towns, and improving the status of our servicemen," he noted.
At the conclusion of the event, an order "On the Encouragement of the Personnel of the Ministry of Defense of the Kyrgyz Republic" was announced, under which awards, including medals and certificates, were presented to the most distinguished servicemen on behalf of the Minister of Defense.
