A celebration was held in Bishkek organized by the charity fund Help the Children-SKD, during which the event "Pancake - a symbol of the Sun!" took place, timed to coincide with Maslenitsa week.
According to the organizers, this event was aimed at supporting children undergoing treatment in the oncology department of the National Center for Maternal and Child Health.
The president of the fund, Elena Koneva, emphasized that the pancake symbolizes the sun, which represents warmth, generosity, and hope.
She noted that while preserving the spirit of the holiday, it is important not only to rejoice but also to do good deeds that can provide children with support, strength, and faith in a better future.
The "Souvenir" ensemble, operating under the Culture Department of the Bishkek City Hall, became an important part of the celebration, performing songs in Kyrgyz and Russian, which created a lively atmosphere with soulful melodies and vibrant dances. The main goal of the ensemble is to strengthen friendship and develop cultural ties.
Thanks to the efforts of the organizers, 125 children, their parents, as well as medical staff and doctors were able to enjoy festive pancakes and recharge with positivity and a spring mood.
