In Bishkek, the event "Pancake - a Symbol of the Sun!" was held, organized by the charity fund Help the Children-SKD in honor of Maslenitsa.
According to the organizers, this event was aimed at providing support to children undergoing treatment in the oncology department of the National Center for Maternal and Child Health.
The president of the fund, Elena Koneva, emphasized that the pancake symbolizes the sun, warmth, generosity, and hope.
According to her, maintaining the spirit of the holiday includes not only joy but also performing good deeds that can bring support and faith in a better future to children.
The atmosphere of the celebration was created by the ensemble "Souvenir," which performs under the Culture Department of the Bishkek City Hall. The artists performed songs in Kyrgyz and Russian, delighting the guests with lively performances and vibrant dances. The main goal of the group is to strengthen friendship and develop cultural ties.
Thanks to joint efforts, 125 children and their parents from the oncology and hematology departments, as well as medical staff and doctors, were able to enjoy festive pancakes, filling themselves with positivity and spring mood.
