Strong gusts of wind have caused destruction in Bishkek and the Chui region, according to information from the Ministry of Emergency Situations. Fallen trees and damaged roofs have become the main consequences of the storm.

At 11:55, a case was recorded in the Lenin district of Bishkek: the wind tore off the roof of one of the multi-story buildings, which then fell onto a neighboring structure, posing a threat to residents. Damage was also reported on Bakayev and Intergelpo streets, where the wind knocked down trees and damaged roofs.

In the residential area of "Kok-Zhar," the wind ripped the roof off a private house, and one of the fallen trees hung on power lines. Cladding elements from a multi-story building also fell onto two cars parked nearby.

The Chui region also suffered from the storm: in the village of Zhar-Bashy in the Issyk-Ata district, in Malovodnoe in the Sokuluk district, and in Belovodskoye in the Moscow district, the wind damaged roofs and knocked down trees. In the Panfilov district, the roof of a secondary school was torn off in the rural area of Kurpuldok.

Rescuers have been deployed to address the aftermath. Five employees of the emergency service are working on Moscow Street in Bishkek, and an operational group has been sent to the Panfilov district to assess the situation with the school.

The Ministry of Emergency Situations reminded that earlier, Kyrgyzhydromet issued a storm warning about strong winds in Bishkek and the Chui region with gusts of up to 15-20 m/s.
