According to information published on February 16 on the website of the Ministry of Energy of Russia, issues of mutual cooperation in the field of electric power were discussed, particularly concerning the Upper Naryn Cascade of Hydroelectric Power Stations project. The participants of the meeting determined the next steps and agreed to continue joint work in this direction.
Topics of bilateral cooperation aimed at creating an industry order for the fuel and energy complex were also addressed.
Who is Alexey Shirshov?
Alexey Yuryevich Shirshov, born in 1976 in Kyrgyzstan, is known for his work in the energy sector, including as the financial director of OJSC "Severelektro" and OJSC "Electric Stations." Shirshov was a close friend of Maxim Bakiyev and was part of the circle of the son of the first president of Kyrgyzstan, Aidar Akayev, before the events of 2005, after which he, like many of his associates, left the country.
