
On February 18, the meeting was attended by the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Kyrgyzstan to Saudi Arabia, Ulugbek Maripov, the General Director of the Saudi Development Fund, Al Marshad, and a delegation led by the minister.
During the official negotiations, the parties discussed the technical plan for the project, which was approved by mutual agreement. They also reviewed the list of state schools to be built in various regions of Kyrgyzstan, as well as issues related to the quality of construction work and the creation of a modern educational environment.
Additionally, the possibilities of attracting additional investments and financial resources for the next phase of the project were discussed. Following the meeting, the parties expressed their intention to continue strengthening bilateral cooperation in the field of infrastructure projects in education.
It is important to note that within the framework of this project, an agreement for $50 million was previously signed. In Bishkek, it is planned to build five new schools and seven additional educational buildings, as well as two new schools in the Chui region. The capacity of these facilities will range from 150 to 1,000 student places. The implementation of the project is scheduled for the period from 2026 to 2029.
