In the Chuy region, two poachers with illegal weapons were detained

On October 29, 2025, during a raid conducted by the officers of the Internal Affairs Department of the Jayil District in collaboration with representatives of the public association "Kalinin Inter-District Society of Hunters and Fishermen," two individuals engaged in poaching were detained. They were found to be in possession of firearms without the necessary permits, as reported by the press service of the Main Internal Affairs Directorate of the Chuy region.

A forensic ballistic examination has been appointed as part of the investigation regarding the seized weapons.

The expert confirmed that the seized rifles are rifled firearms, specifically single-shot hunting rifles "TOZ-16" and "TOZ-8."

On February 2, a criminal case was initiated regarding this incident under Article 267 of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic (illegal circulation of weapons and ammunition).

On February 16, the suspects, citizens M.M. and K.R., both born in 1988, were detained and placed in a temporary detention facility in accordance with Article 96 of the Criminal Procedure Code of the Kyrgyz Republic.
