In the Ministry of Education of the Kyrgyz Republic, it was proposed to fine parents and officials

The fine will range from 5,000 to 20,000 soms

The agency proposed to introduce fines for parents whose children show disrespect towards teachers. The draft law has been submitted for public discussion.

The main reason for developing this project is cited as the insufficient protection of teachers' rights and the increase in cases of violence against them by students and their parents, which in turn leads to teacher burnout and their departure from the profession.

The authors of the bill also emphasized the problems of bureaucracy and shortcomings in the management of educational institutions that require resolution. In particular, when teachers are tasked with duties unrelated to their professional activities.

It is proposed to establish fines for violations in these areas ranging from 50 to 100 calculated indicators (from 5,000 to 10,000 soms), and for repeated violations within a year — up to 200 calculated indicators (20,000 soms).

In addition, the initiators of the proposal want to tighten penalties for individuals for disrespectful behavior towards teachers while they are performing their official duties:

- for insulting teachers — up to 50 calculated indicators (5,000 soms),

- for parents or guardians whose children show disrespect towards teachers — a warning or a fine of 100 calculated indicators (10,000 soms).
