In the Chui Region, the early mushroom season has begun: Oyster mushrooms have appeared, and their beneficial properties are explained by specialists.
“The warm weather has contributed to the early and mass appearance of oyster mushrooms this season. These mushrooms are resistant to temperature fluctuations and frost, which does not affect their growth,” noted S. Mamatova.
Biologist Irina Stezhko added that oyster mushrooms contain 36% highly digestible protein, as well as 18 amino acids necessary for a complete diet. In addition, they are rich in B vitamins, as well as vitamins D and E. Oyster mushrooms help normalize lipid levels in the blood, which positively affects blood pressure and cholesterol levels.
“These mushrooms have antiviral and antitumor properties, tone the nervous system, and strengthen the immune system. Oyster mushrooms effectively cleanse the body of radionuclides and, unlike many other mushrooms, retain their beneficial qualities even after thermal processing,” said I. Stezhko.
