On February 14, the Mufti of Kyrgyzstan, Abdulahiz Kary Zakirov, held a blessing ceremony during which three Kyrgyz theologians — Abdimalik Uskenbaev, Nurlan Muhammad, and Muhammad Mirbekov — set off for the Republic of Altai, which is part of the Russian Federation.

“You bear a great responsibility. Your ancestors came from Altai and embraced Islam, and now your task is to convey the true values and beauty of our religion. This is a historical mission, so act responsibly and send greetings to the Muslims of Altai from the Muslims of Ala-Too,” the mufti noted, wishing the travelers success in their endeavors.
Belek Azhy Japarakun, responsible for international relations and protocol at the Spiritual Administration of Muslims of Kyrgyzstan (DUMK), reported that in Altai, the theologians will conduct khatm during tarawih prayers in the month of Ramadan, as well as organize Quran reading sessions and moral lessons for children.

It is worth noting that Mufti Abdulahiz Kary Zakirov met with the Mufti of the Republic of Altai, Janbolat Azhy Okhtaubaev, during which the parties discussed opportunities for joint work in the field of education, experience exchange, and personnel training.

Janbolat Azhy Okhtaubaev also addressed the Muftiate of Kyrgyzstan with a request to send theologians to conduct khatm during tarawih prayers.
