Raids aimed at controlling prices for meat products and other socially significant goods have started in Bishkek. This information was provided by the city administration.
On February 15, 2026, the next inspections took place, involving representatives of the city administration, employees from four district administrations, specialists from the Antimonopoly Regulation Service, the veterinary service, tax authorities, and law enforcement agencies.
During the raids, the focus was on preventing unjustified price increases for meat, as well as checking documents that confirm the quality and origin of the products, and ensuring compliance with sanitary standards in trade.
Additionally, explanatory talks were held with entrepreneurs about the necessity of adhering to the legislation of the Kyrgyz Republic and the established price limits. These activities are aimed at stabilizing prices for essential food products and protecting consumer rights.
The Bishkek city administration emphasizes that if sales of meat at inflated prices are detected, appropriate measures will be taken against the offenders in accordance with the law. Regular monitoring continues to avoid unjustified price increases for products in the capital's market.
