These inspections were organized in accordance with the directive from the Antimonopoly Regulation Service under the Ministry of Economy and Commerce of the Kyrgyz Republic, issued on February 13, 2025, number 01-12/04, which concerns the establishment of maximum prices for meat (beef and lamb, excluding boneless meat) in Bishkek.
The raid also involved representatives from the city antimonopoly service, specialists from Bishkek's veterinary service, and the head of the municipal administration of the Sverdlovsk district, Mirlan Amangeldiev.
During the inspections, the main focus was on the following aspects:
- preventing unauthorized price increases for meat products;
- availability of all necessary documents confirming the quality and origin of the meat;
- compliance with sanitary norms and trading regulations.
Explanatory work was conducted with traders regarding the importance of strict adherence to legislation and the price limits established by the state.
The mayor's office noted that such raids aim to stabilize prices for essential products for the population and protect consumer rights. Monitoring of the situation in the capital's food markets will continue.
