Residents of At-Bashi Request to Designate the Settlement as a Border Zone
This initiative was voiced during a meeting with the akiykatchi Jamileh Jamambaev during her trip titled "Caravan of Rights".
According to the residents, when traveling to the jailoo Ak-Sai, they are constantly required to request permissions.
“During the Soviet era, our entire district was considered a border area, which was even noted in passports. We are asking for help to simplify our lives and ensure free movement in our homeland,” shared one elderly woman.
Additionally, during meetings with the ombudsman, residents of At-Bashi and other districts of the Naryn region raised pressing issues such as labor migration, unemployment, child support enforcement, obtaining insurance payments, power outages, as well as problems related to high levels of domestic violence and the protection of women's rights.
The ombudsman’s institute noted that during the meetings, legal consultations were provided to 20 citizens, and 15 applications were registered.
The At-Bashinsky district is located in the southern part of the Naryn region and borders China.
