Gas lines and 'red books' of local residents hinder the Bishkek city hall from extending Bakayev Street

The municipal authorities are working on resolving these issues

The continuation of work on extending Bakayev Street is scheduled for 2026. Abdijapar Kul Zhanbolotov, the deputy director of the Department of Transport and Road Infrastructure Development, announced this on the air of "Birinchi Radio".

He noted that the main issues are the need to relocate two gas lines, carry out sewer construction work, and the presence of "red books" on certain sections owned by local residents.

“We are actively working on resolving these issues and conducting explanatory activities. Some claim that this section is pointless; however, it will be continued and connected to Beishenaliev Street,” the official assured.
