In Kara-Suu, 21 citizens were fined for violating weapons storage regulations

In the Kara-Suu district, 21 citizens were fined for violating weapon storage regulations. This was reported by the press service of the Internal Affairs Department of the Osh region.

According to the agency, in the territory of the Kara-Suu district, with the aim of ensuring public safety, identifying weapons that are in illegal circulation, preventing incidents related to firearms, and also preventing domestic violence, a preventive raid event called "Arsenal" was conducted from January 8 to February 14 of this year.

As a result of the conducted activities, a total of 31 units of weapons were seized. Of these, 2 units of smoothbore weapons were voluntarily surrendered by citizens without any documents. For violations of storage rules, 18 units of smoothbore weapons and 5 gas pistols were confiscated. Additionally, 6 units of weapons were temporarily stored under the jurisdiction of the district internal affairs department due to the death of the owner.

Furthermore, for violations of storage and re-registration rules, protocols were drawn up against 21 citizens based on articles of the Code of Offenses, and they were fined a total of 63,000 soms.

As part of the event, special attention was given to the prevention of domestic violence: residents were informed that violations of the rules for possession, use, and storage of weapons during family conflicts could lead to serious consequences for family members.
