In the Batken region, large-scale work is beginning on the repair of overhead power lines, which will be carried out by the regional electric grid enterprise. The repairs will cover lines with voltages of 220, 110, and 35 kV.
According to the press service of this enterprise, in accordance with the approved schedule for 2026, about 20 kilometers of overhead lines will be completely repaired, while 1380 kilometers will undergo scheduled maintenance.
These works are organized in preparation for the upcoming autumn-winter season of 2026–2027 and will be carried out in stages from March to November. The repair activities will affect the Kadamjai, Leilek, and Batken districts.
Currently, work has already begun on the scheduled repair of the 110 kV high-voltage lines "Khoja-Bakirgan – Arka" and "Arka – Morskaya," with a total length of 7 kilometers.
As part of this work, 190 old insulators will be replaced, and simultaneously, the line fittings will be updated, and modern equipment that meets current technical standards will be installed.
The main objective of these activities is to ensure reliable and uninterrupted power supply, prevent emergency outages, reduce technical losses, and improve the condition of high-voltage lines.
It should be noted that in 2025, 7200 old insulators were completely replaced on high-voltage lines of 220/110/35 kV, and 7513 new glass insulators were installed. Scheduled maintenance covered 1264.75 kilometers of high-voltage lines, of which 134.6 kilometers underwent major repairs.
