A solemn event in memory of Afghan war veterans took place in the city of Batken.
In connection with this date, a solemn event dedicated to the memory of war veterans took place in Batken on February 13.
The event was attended by the leaders of the Batken district and city, representatives of law enforcement agencies, heads of local institutions, as well as veterans of the Afghan war.
During the ceremony, wreaths were laid at the monument erected in honor of the heroes of the Afghan war, and a prayer was read in memory of the fallen soldiers.
In the second part of the celebration, which took place in the meeting hall of the district administration, veterans were congratulated and presented with commemorative gifts.
The Afghan war, which began in 1979, lasted a full 10 years. Currently, there are 33 veterans of this war living in the Batken district, 15 of whom participated in today's event.
