More than 11,500 Kyrgyz citizens received prosthetic and orthopedic services
According to the provided data, the number of people receiving assistance increased by 7% compared to the previous year.
For the operation of the specialized republican institution, 123 million soms were allocated, which is 10% more compared to 2024. These funds allowed for the implementation of modern technologies and expanded access to services for those in need of mobility aids and custom-made products.
As part of the ongoing large-scale modernization of production, the institution received 97.8 million soms. Contracts have been signed for the supply of equipment that meets international standards, as well as for the training of specialists.
As a result, the development of innovative hand prostheses named "Kibi" and "Indi" has been mastered. These bionic and traction systems were provided to 34 children, with the state covering 76% of the cost of these products.
In Bishkek, the "FabLab" laboratory from South Korea manufactured and delivered electronic hand prostheses to two adult citizens.
Additionally, specialists continue to improve models of orthopedic footwear and limb prostheses, taking into account the individual needs of patients.
