The Tourism Development Fund of the Kyrgyz Republic has recovered 56.1 million soms in accounts receivable.
According to Adilet Januzakov, the head of the fund, the new team conducted a comprehensive assessment of the organization's work. The main focus was on improving financial discipline, optimizing expenses, and concentrating resources on key areas.
“By increasing financial control, we managed to recover 56.1 million soms in accounts receivable. This includes the full repayment of loans for projects in Naryn and the village of Tosor. We optimized operational expenses in IT, communications, and related services, which allowed us to create a more transparent and sustainable model for managing our resources,” he added in his speech.
The funds raised will be directed towards the implementation of priority infrastructure projects.
“Currently, out of 18 Rest Point network facilities, 11 are operational, while the others are in the final stages of preparation. We have also secured over $4.5 million in grant funds from the World Bank for the construction of three new facilities in the Osh region,” Januzakov reported.
He also mentioned that the fund's subsidiary, GoBus, provides regular passenger transportation and acts as a logistics partner for major tourism and promotional events. Preparations are currently underway to implement an electronic ticketing system for intercity transportation.
The fund actively promotes projects of national significance aimed at attracting investments and creating long-term economic effects. As part of the international sports complex project "Tamga-Tosor," active work is being conducted with investors, with total investments exceeding $100 million. The development of the Baytik Mountain Resort and Chatkal Mountain Resort projects is also ongoing.
