The Tourism Development Support Fund in the Kyrgyz Republic reported on the results of 2025

On February 10, during a meeting of the Collegium of the Ministry of Economy and Commerce, which was attended by Bakyt Torobaev, Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers and Minister of Water Resources, Agriculture, and Processing Industry, the report of the Tourism Development Support Fund of the Kyrgyz Republic for 2025 was presented.

The General Director of the Fund, Adilet Januzakov, spoke about significant changes that occurred with the arrival of the new team. One of the priority tasks became improving financial discipline, optimizing expenses, and focusing efforts on key areas of activity.

Thanks to stricter financial control, the Fund managed to recover 56.1 million soms in debts, which included the full repayment of loans for projects in Naryn and the village of Tosor. Additionally, expenses on IT and communications were optimized, contributing to the creation of a more transparent and sustainable resource management model.

“Consolidated funds were directed towards the implementation of key infrastructure projects. Currently, out of 18 Rest Point network facilities, 11 are operational, while the others are in the final stages of construction. Furthermore, grant funds from the World Bank amounting to over 4.5 million dollars have been attracted for the creation of three new facilities in the Osh region,” he emphasized.

Moreover, Adilet Januzakov noted that the Fund's subsidiary, GoBus, is actively engaged in passenger transportation and serves as a logistics partner for major tourism events. Currently, preparations are underway to implement an electronic ticketing system for intercity routes.

The Fund is also focused on nationally significant projects aimed at attracting investments and creating long-term economic effects. In the framework of developing the international sports complex "Tamga-Tosor," active work is being conducted with potential investors, with total investments exceeding 100 million US dollars. In addition, the development of the Baytik Mountain Resort and Chatkal Mountain Resort projects continues.

The Fund's management strategy is aimed at the rational use of resources, creating sustainable investment conditions, and developing tourism as an important factor for the socio-economic growth of the Kyrgyz Republic.
