It is planned to conduct classes in two languages, and in the future — in English.

In Bishkek, a proposal has been made not to divide classes by the language of instruction. This initiative was presented by the director of the education department, Rakhmat Musaev, during a meeting of the Bishkek City Council.

The main problem is the shortage of teachers in Russian-speaking schools, where there are currently more than 400 vacancies.

“The level of education in new buildings in Russian-speaking classes leaves much to be desired. Schools open one or two classes, and when children finish primary school and move to the fifth grade, they face a shortage of subject teachers. We proposed to the Ministry of Education to conduct classes simultaneously in two languages, considering the available resources. Ideally, we would like subjects to be taught in English,” Musaev added.
