49 billion soms will be allocated for the development of the districts annexed to Bishkek
This plan covers the period from 2026 to 2030 and includes various sources of funding. According to a representative of the city administration, the funds will come from both the local budget and republican funds, and additional funds may also be requested.
“We understand that we do not have the entire amount at once, but it is important to determine exactly where we need to address the issues,” noted one of the officials.
In response, Deputy Kazybek Ergeshov expressed doubt: “So, these are just dreams?”
“No, we have a clear understanding of the needs. If we have a plan, we can implement it,” the official replied.
The deputy also emphasized the need to address issues related to sewage, water supply, road conditions, and other important matters.
It was previously reported that in 2024, eight ayil aymaks (23 villages) from the Alamudun and Sokuluk districts were annexed to Bishkek. All of them now have the status of municipal territorial administrations (MTA). As a result of the reform, the area of the capital has tripled, increasing from 12.9 thousand hectares to 38.6 thousand hectares.
