The Ministry of Transport and Communications of Kyrgyzstan has announced the implementation of the e-Permit system, which will be used for international freight transportation with China and Turkic-speaking countries.
Now local carriers will be able to conduct freight transport with countries such as Uzbekistan, Azerbaijan, and Turkey using electronic permits.

This system has significantly simplified the process of obtaining the necessary permits, allowing carriers to apply for them online. This eliminates the need for personal visits and long waits in queues, as well as speeding up the service provision process.

Previously, the exchange of permits between countries was conducted in paper form, and in 2025, 130,000 such documents were exchanged with China, which incurred budgetary expenses.

The e-Permit system ensures transparency and reliability in the process, helps reduce corruption risks, lowers budget costs, and develops international road transport. "These initiatives create conditions for transforming Kyrgyzstan into a logistics hub of Central Asia. It is expected that as a result of the operation of the new electronic system, by 2026, more than 500 million soms will be received in the country's budget," the ministry added.
