The STEPS study showed that 76.2% of the population leads an insufficiently active lifestyle, 44% smoke, and 48.9% consume alcohol.
"More than 50% of health status depends on lifestyle," noted the center's experts.Doctors emphasize the importance of regular physical activity:
- It helps improve circulation;
- It helps maintain a healthy weight;
- It normalizes blood sugar and cholesterol levels, reducing the risk of hypertension, stroke, diabetes, and cancer.
- More intense exercises, such as running, swimming, cycling, sports games, or physical labor, further strengthen the cardiovascular system.
- However, the greatest results are achieved with a comprehensive approach: activity, balanced nutrition, and giving up bad habits.
