According to specialists from the Bishkek Center for Health Promotion, about 82% of all mortality cases in Kyrgyzstan are due to non-communicable diseases such as cardiovascular diseases, cancer, respiratory diseases, and diabetes.

The STEPS study showed that 76.2% of the population leads an insufficiently active lifestyle, 44% smoke, and 48.9% consume alcohol.

"More than 50% of health status depends on lifestyle," noted the center's experts.

Doctors emphasize the importance of regular physical activity:

“It is not necessary to work out in a gym. Just 30 minutes of moderate physical activity a day is enough—whether it's brisk walking, dancing, gardening, or playing with children,” the specialists added.
