As a result of the increase in targeted social support, the number of citizens receiving state benefits in Kyrgyzstan has decreased by 195.9 thousand people. This was reported by Kamchybek Dosmatov, the First Deputy Minister of Labor, Social Protection, and Migration of the Kyrgyz Republic, at a meeting of the ministry's board.
Dosmatov noted that the ministry is actively implementing mechanisms for the targeted distribution of state assistance and support for low-income segments of the population.
According to him, the number of benefit recipients has decreased from 359.5 thousand in 2021 to 163.6 thousand in 2025.
In addition, important decisions regarding social payments were made in 2025. In particular, monthly cash compensations for veterans of the Great Patriotic War, liquidators of the Chernobyl disaster, participants in combat actions, and other categories of citizens have been increased. These measures are enshrined in the decree of the President of the Kyrgyz Republic No. 132 dated April 18, 2025.
Furthermore, a new type of monthly allowance for third and subsequent children under three years old has been introduced for residents of high-altitude, remote, and border areas, regardless of the family's socio-economic status. The application process started on January 12, 2026, and payments will begin on February 1, 2026, amounting to 3,000 soms.
The President of the Kyrgyz Republic has also approved a one-time payment "Bala Bereke" for mothers of multiple children from high-altitude and remote areas. The amount of assistance depends on the number of children:
for the birth of the fourth child — 100,000 soms;
for the seventh child — 1 million soms;
for the tenth and each subsequent child — 2 million soms.
These new measures are aimed at supporting families in hard-to-reach regions and improving the demographic situation in the country.
