As of January 1, 2026, the presidential decree regarding the 'Bala Bereke' payment has come into effect. In an interview with the Kabar agency, Adel Zhoomartova, the chief specialist of the state benefits department of the Ministry of Labor, Social Protection, and Migration, answered questions about this payment and explained the conditions for receiving it.
Who is eligible for the 'Bala Bereke' payment?
The one-time 'Bala Bereke' payment is intended for mothers of multiple children living in high-altitude and hard-to-reach areas. Such payments are provided for the birth of the fourth and subsequent children.

- for the birth of the 4th child — 100,000 soms;
- for the 5th child — 600,000 soms;
- for the 7th child — 1 million soms;
- for the 8th child — 1 million 200 thousand soms;
- for the 9th child — 1 million 500 thousand soms;
- for the 10th and subsequent children — 2 million soms.
One of the main conditions for the appointment of the one-time 'Bala Bereke' payment is long-term residence in high-altitude and hard-to-reach areas — at least two years prior to the application submission.
“The payment is made after the child reaches one year of age. For example, if a mother gives birth to her fourth child this year, the right to the payment arises when the child turns one year old. In this case, she must submit an application starting January 1, 2027,” explained the chief specialist.
Additionally, the application must be submitted within six months from the date the child turns one year old. After this period, the application is not accepted, and the payment is not made. Therefore, it is important to submit the documents before the child reaches one and a half years old. The funds are transferred to the applicant's bank account,” Zhoomartova added.

- mother's passport (or identification card);
- birth certificates of the children;
- documents confirming permanent residence in the area;
- bank account number.

If a family already has three children and then twins are born, these children are considered the fourth and fifth. In this case, the payment will be:
- for the fourth — 100,000 soms,
- for the fifth — 600,000 soms.
