At the meeting of the Jogorku Kenesh on February 5, Deputy Medina Kairylbekova expressed concern about plans to build a new school just 50 meters from the tuberculosis hospital. She emphasized the need to relocate the medical facility to a more distant location.

Kairylbekova noted that the tuberculosis hospital is located in the center of Talas and is not connected to the city sewage system, instead using a septic tank. In close proximity, just 55 meters away, is an existing school, where the new construction is planned. "Waste from the septic tank is disposed of openly into a biopond located 500 meters from the residential complex 'Zhashtyk', where about 500 families live. These families use water from a water supply laid at a depth of six meters. This poses a potential threat to public health," the deputy added.
