Medina Kalieva and her husband Ryskul Syrgabaev from Talas have become parents of triplets. Medina herself shared this with a correspondent from Turmush.

“We got married in 2024. I am 28 years old, and my husband is 34. Our three girls were born by the will of Allah,” she shared.

Medina, who was born and raised in Talas, now lives with her husband in Bishkek. Her husband has been working in the city since 2009 and is originally from the Manas district of the Talas region.

“Honestly, we were in complete shock at such news. It was truly an unexpected gift from fate. When we saw the ultrasound results, I thought, ‘How will I manage this?’ But Allah gave me strength, and I successfully gave birth. This experience turned out to be much more challenging than expected,” she said.

From the moment it became known about the triplet pregnancy, Medina began to prepare mentally. She was on bed rest from the 28th week of pregnancy, and on July 3, 2025, she gave birth at the 4th maternity hospital in Almaty via cesarean section. Three daughters were born: Ademi, Adelina, and Adelya.

Caring for the babies has become a real challenge. Her husband works during the day at a construction company and at night as a security guard, and Medina often finds herself alone with the children. “I worry about him: since the girls were born, he has hardly had any rest,” she added.

The family spends about 25,000 soms a month on baby supplies, including formula, diapers, and medications, while renting an apartment costs 35,000 soms.

“Motherhood turned out to be different; I truly understood what the phrase means, ‘no matter how many children there are, they are all in the heart.’ Each daughter has her own unique traits,” noted Medina, adding that the little girls are already showing their habits, such as attempts to crawl and active movements.

However, the family faces difficulties. “We are temporarily living in Bishkek, but we cannot apply for child benefits because we do not have permanent housing for registration. We have approached the local authorities, but we have not received any help,” she said.

Medina also noted that life with three small children in a rented apartment is very challenging. “When the girls start crying, the neighbors complain, and the landlord threatens us with eviction. We hope to stay here at least until warm weather arrives,” she added.

“We hope to register temporarily and submit documents for benefits, but no one can help,” added the mother of three.

Moreover, the girls have been diagnosed with hypertonicity. “We take them to a paid orthopedist, but considering that I am alone, it is quite difficult,” she said, describing the challenges of transporting the children for treatment.

All three girls have been diagnosed with “patent foramen ovale.” “We must keep an eye on them so they don’t cry too much, as this could cause problems,” Medina said.

The family received a one-time assistance from the government ranging from 50,000 to 150,000 soms, which helped pay for medical examinations.

“Dear President Sadyr Nurkhojoyevich, you always support young families. We ask you to pay attention to our situation. We do not have permanent housing, which complicates receiving assistance. I cannot work because I am always looking after the children, and the only breadwinner in the family is my husband, who works two jobs,” Medina shared her concerns.
