Ministry of Health strengthens control at airports due to Nipah virus

A system of preventive measures is being developed in Kyrgyzstan to prevent the spread of the Nipah virus. This was stated by the Minister of Health Kanbek Dosmambetov at a meeting of the Jogorku Kenesh.
According to him, the republic is actively cooperating with neighboring countries, including Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan. The parties are exchanging data and studying each other's response protocols to the threat.
"Students arriving from India undergo mandatory medical examinations. The presidential administration under the leadership of Sadyr Japarov has allocated funds to enhance security levels. Modern automatic thermal imagers are being installed at international airports. Currently, such equipment is operational at Manas Airport, and plans are in place for its installation at the airports in Osh, Tamchy, Karakol, and other international air hubs," the minister added.
He also assured that the situation is under control and there is no reason for significant concern.
