Also in the city hall's plans is the implementation of a digital payment system for fares. Bishkek will provide the necessary software, which will allow for the installation of GPS on buses. As a result, passengers will be able to track the arrival time of the nearest bus through a mobile application. This system is expected to be operational in February.

A unified transport card called "Tulpar" is also planned to be introduced in the city. With this card, adults will be able to pay a fare of 17 soms, while schoolchildren will pay 10 soms, whereas cash payments will cost 20 soms. The city hall intends to compensate the difference between cash and cashless payments from the local budget, and relevant calculations are already underway.
One of the main reasons for revising the fare is the rise in fuel prices and the lack of financial resources to pay drivers' wages.
According to information from the municipal transport service of Naryn, currently 11 buses are operating, which cover an average of 180–190 kilometers a day, consuming about 70 liters of fuel. With a set plan of 3,500 soms, the actual daily expenses amount to about 4,700 soms, resulting in a deficit of approximately 1,200 soms.
Kairat Asanakunov, the head of the enterprise, noted that increasing the fare would allow covering costs and bringing all 16 buses available into operation. The system employs 16 drivers, and their salaries range from 20,000 to 25,000 soms.
We remind you that last year Naryn received 5 electric buses, and this year an additional 11 buses were purchased through the president's stabilization fund.
