The Presidential Administration will be involved in vehicle inspections

The President of the Kyrgyz Republic, Sadyr Japarov, has approved a new decree amending the previously existing document concerning urgent measures for optimizing vehicle technical inspections. This information is contained in the official statement from the head of state.

The changes pertain to the presidential decree dated December 31, 2025, number 388, and are aimed at improving state control over the technical inspection process, as well as ensuring road safety, stabilizing prices, and enhancing the quality of services for citizens.

In particular, instead of the state enterprise "Technical Direction Center" of the Main Department for Road Traffic Safety of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the State Center for Vehicle Registration and Driver Licensing, which is subordinate to the Presidential Administration, will now operate.

Additionally, in the text of the decree, the name "Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic" has been changed to "Presidential Administration of the Kyrgyz Republic".

Furthermore, the list of bodies involved in the implementation of the decree now includes the State Center for Vehicle Registration and Driver Licensing under the Presidential Administration.

The decree will come into effect upon its official publication.
