At the meeting of the Jogorku Kenesh on February 4, Bakyt Tentishev once again raised the issue of the situation in the military town, reminding about the eviction of residents from their apartments.

According to him, currently, residents have been evicted from four apartments, and the Ministry of Defense intends to evict more than 20 others. Last year, the deputy organized a meeting between Minister Baktybek Bekbolotov, the Kant city administration, and the residents, during which the minister expressed a desire to help; however, after his transfer to another position, no actions were taken.

Tentishev also noted that the emergency boiler in the town has not been repaired for several years. "Two years ago, Finance Minister Almaz Kushbekovich assured that there were no problems with funding, but the Ministry of Defense has not submitted a request for the repair of the boiler house. The Kant city administration is ready to take the boiler on its balance, but requires its repair," he added.

The deputy suggested reaching out to the leadership of the Russian airbase, which also uses this boiler house. He pointed out the need to transfer the military town to the administration of the city through the appropriate resolution of the cabinet of ministers.

Tentishev emphasized that there is a lack of amenities in the town: there are no kindergartens, no playgrounds, no street lighting, and no football fields, despite the availability of free land. "People are losing hope for a solution to their problems. Decisive measures must be taken by the government," he addressed to the representative of the president and the cabinet of ministers in parliament, Almasbek Abytov.
