Ministry of Labor: Employers Delaying Salaries Will Pay Penalties
According to the information from the agency, a single penalty percentage has now been established. If an employer delays the payment of wages, vacation pay, severance payments, or other monetary amounts, they will have to pay an additional amount of 0.25 percent of the unpaid sum for each day of delay, starting from the date of the actual payment.
Additionally, a statute of limitations has been established: if the employer fails to pay wages on time, the employee has three years to file a lawsuit and claim their money. The countdown for this period begins from the moment when the wages were due to be paid.
