The tow trucks, which are under the balance of the Department of Utilities and Urban Improvement, began operations on January 30.
The mayor, Ernizbek Ormokov, visited the site to familiarize himself with the activities of the municipal tow trucks and emphasized the need to strictly adhere to legal requirements in organizing their operations.
He noted that the launch of the municipal impound lot is aimed at improving road order in the city and ensuring compliance with parking regulations, and the funds collected will be directed to replenish the city budget.
“Improperly parked vehicles will be taken to the impound lot in accordance with the procedures established by the traffic safety department. The cost of towing will be 1600 soms. A fee of 21 soms per hour will be charged for storing the vehicle at the impound lot.
Thirty hundred square meters of land have been allocated for the organization of the municipal impound lot. The issue was previously discussed at a session of the city council. It was reported that the tow trucks were purchased on lease, and the consent of the deputies for the organization of the impound lot was also obtained,” the statement said.
