Food fair held in Chuy region
A food fair was held in the Chui region, according to information provided by the Ministry of Water Resources, Agriculture, and Processing Industry of the Kyrgyz Republic.
As noted by the ministry, the goods at the fair were offered at prices significantly lower than market rates. For example, meat was sold for as low as 680 soms per kilogram, potatoes for 37 soms, and onions for 16 soms.
According to the information, similar fairs are being held across the country, in every district. In several localities, social trading points are being opened where meat can be purchased at affordable prices. Plans for holding fairs will continue until June.
“Currently, the stocks of essential food products are at a sufficient level,” the statement claims.
