At a recent meeting organized by "Gazprom Kyrgyzstan," the head of the Union of Builders of the Kyrgyz Republic and representatives of construction organizations participated. The discussion took place in a roundtable format.

The focus was on construction standards, including SN KR 42-01:2020, related to the design of gas supply systems. These standards were approved in 2021 by an order from the State Agency for Architecture, Construction, and Housing and Communal Services under the Government of the Kyrgyz Republic. According to these requirements, the installation of gas supply systems is permitted in kitchens, loggias, balconies, corridors, and common areas such as stairwells and lobbies.

Previously, gas supply systems were installed exclusively in apartments, which created difficulties with accounting and complicated the work of gas services in case of leaks. "Currently, there are 4,500 apartments in the capital whose owners do not submit gas readings. Our inspectors have been unable to access these apartments for two years. There were even more such apartments before. That is why we proposed installing meters in common areas," explained Arzymat Aldayev, Deputy General Director for Economics and Finance of LLC "Gazprom Kyrgyzstan." "Starting in 2023, we will begin implementing new technologies by installing 'smart' meters with telemetry functions that automatically transmit readings."

Construction companies are recommended to install devices with telemetry and thermal correction in apartment buildings, developed based on unique software used in LLC "Gazprom Kyrgyzstan," as well as shut-off valves. If gas is used solely for cooking, the installation of mechanical gas supply systems without telemetry blocks and shut-off valves is allowed. In both cases, installation is possible both in apartments and in common areas. "Our main requirement is the unification of meters. All old gas supply systems must be replaced with new smart meters with telemetry," he emphasized.

During the roundtable, participants discussed technical standards related to gas supply to apartment buildings, the use of gas-consuming devices, as well as safety issues concerning gas boilers and other equipment. Cholponbek Akmatov, Chairman of the Union of Builders of the Kyrgyz Republic, expressed the readiness of construction companies to strictly adhere to the requirements of construction standards in the field of gas supply. The parties agreed on regular exchanges of opinions on construction and gasification issues.
