"We Warned Them." Sadyr Japarov Responded to Private Driving School Owners
An important piece of news was the introduction of a state monopoly, which implies that training is only possible in state driving schools. In this regard, owners of private driving schools express concern that their business is effectively being destroyed.
In an interview with the "Kabar" agency, the president noted that the owners of driving schools were warned in advance about the planned changes:
“We warned them in advance. We stated that from 2026, the licensing of these schools would be discontinued, and a serious reform would be carried out in the industry. Nevertheless, many continued to operate under outdated schemes. It was more profitable for them to train a student in 10 days and issue a certificate, as profit was their top priority, while attention to the quality of training for students took a back seat. One cannot approach this field so irresponsibly. However, the staff of driving schools will not be left without work; they will be transferred to state driving schools,” the president added.
