OPEC Allocates a Loan of 30 Million Dollars to Kyrgyzstan
The loan will be allocated as budget support for OJSC "Kyrgyzneftegaz"
The OPEC Fund for International Development has agreed to provide Kyrgyzstan with 30 million dollars, which will be used for budget support. The loan has a repayment term of 20 years, with the first 5 years being a grace period, and the interest rate is 1.25%.
The funds received are planned to be directed by the Cabinet of Ministers as a budget loan for the modernization of the oil refinery owned by the open joint-stock company "Kyrgyzneftegaz".
The legislative project for obtaining this loan was approved by the committee of the Jogorku Kenesh on international affairs, defense, security, and migration in the second reading.
