Cultural figure and ethnographer Aydai Asangulova has passed away
On January 25, 2026, at the age of 48, Aydai Bektemir kyzy Asangulova passed away — an outstanding cultural figure of Kyrgyzstan, ethnographer, and designer, who left a significant mark in the study of national costumes and was the founder of the "Kiyiz duyno" foundation.

A specialist in traditional crafts and Kyrgyz national clothing, Aydai Asangulova dedicated her life to preserving and promoting cultural heritage, including the study of felt art and ethnic style.
Under Asangulova's leadership, the "Kiyiz duyno" foundation actively participated in various cultural and educational projects, organizing exhibitions, festivals, and master classes.
Farewell and funeral ceremony (janaza) will take place on January 27 at 11:00 in the village of Kyzyl-Tuu, Ton district of the Issyk-Kul region.
