Traffic on the highway has been restored, the fire has been successfully extinguished
On January 25, 2026, a fire occurred in a fuel tanker transporting petroleum products at the 140th kilometer of the Bishkek–Osh road in the Jayil district of the Chui region. This information was disseminated by the press service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations.
According to the agency, a report of the fire was received by emergency services, and at 11:36, one firefighting crew from Jayil District Fire Station No. 22 was dispatched to the scene. The fire was completely extinguished by 14:44, as indicated in the report.
Unfortunately, as a result of the incident, two people lost their lives, and their identities are currently being established. After all necessary work was completed, traffic on the highway was restored, and transportation became possible in both directions without delays.
