According to the department, the camera trap, installed in May 2025 and operational since December, has recorded rare species, including the snow leopard and lynx, as well as mountain goats, foxes, and a pack of wolves. The ministry noted that such photographs contribute to the study of animals in their natural habitat without human interference, which is an important tool for monitoring and protecting wildlife.

The State Natural Park "Khan-Teniri" is located in the eastern part of the Issyk-Kul region, on the border of the Kungoy and Teskey Ala-Too ranges. It includes four areas: Aydyr-Tor, Sary-Jaz, Enilchek, and Kainy.

The ministry emphasized that the protection of rare animal species, such as the snow leopard and lynx, is one of the main tasks, and the use of camera traps represents an effective method for monitoring and protecting wildlife.
