Wildlife footage: a snow leopard and a lynx spotted in ‘Khan-Teniri’
The Ministry of Natural Resources, Ecology and Technical Supervision of the Kyrgyz Republic has shared new impressive footage of wildlife captured in the State Natural Park “Khan-Teniri”.

Using equipment installed in May 2025, which operated until December, rare animal species such as the snow leopard and lynx were recorded, along with a pack of wolves, a fox, and mountain goats.

These photographs are an important resource for monitoring animal populations and protecting the ecosystem.

Located at the junction of the Kungey and Teskey Ala-Too ranges, the “Khan-Teniri” park covers the eastern part of the Issyk-Kul region and includes four key areas: Aydyr-Tor, Sary-Jaz, Enilchek, and Kayindy.

The agency notes that the protection of rare animal species remains a priority task. The use of camera traps has been recognized as one of the most effective ways to protect the country's fauna.
