The Mayor of Bishkek held a meeting with residents of recently annexed areas
An open meeting of Bishkek Mayor Aibek Junushaliev with residents of newly annexed territories took place at secondary school No. 43 in the Ak-Bata residential area. This information was provided by the press service of the mayor's office.
Residents from such residential areas as MTF-2, Nur-Kojo, Ak-Bata, Ak-Zhar, Lebedinovka, Alamudun, Lower Ala-Archa, and 305-MAB participated in the event.
“The meeting discussed key issues related to water supply, road conditions, sewage, and the lack of public transport. Ulanbek Beishenbaev, head of the Transport Department, reported that the launch of 8-meter buses will only take place after the repair of the road infrastructure is completed,” the statement said.
As noted in the press release, the mayor emphasized that road works will not be carried out until the issues with water supply and sewage are resolved. He also spoke about the development program for the newly annexed areas until 2030, which was developed at the request of the President, with a total funding of about 9 billion soms. Of this amount, it is planned to attract 2.5 to 3 billion soms in 2025.
The meeting also addressed issues related to land plots. Aibek Junushaliev noted that during the construction of roads, illegally installed economic structures and new foundations will be dismantled; however, previously identified illegal residential houses will not be demolished,” the press service adds.
