About 9 billion soms will be allocated for the development of new districts in Bishkek by 2030
In the recently opened secondary school No. 43, located in the Ak-Bata residential area, Mayor Aibek Junushaliev held a meeting with local residents from territories that were recently annexed to Bishkek.
According to information from the mayor's office, residents from the MTF-2, Nur-Kojo, Ak-Bata, Ak-Zhar, Lebedinovka, Alamudun, Lower Ala-Archa, and 305-MAB areas, which are now part of the Sverdlovsk administrative district as part of the administrative-territorial reform, participated in the discussion.
During the meeting, social and infrastructure issues were discussed, with particular emphasis on water supply, sewage, road conditions, and the lack of public transport.
Regarding transportation, Ulanbek Beishenbaev, head of the Transport Department, reported that new 8-meter buses would only start operating after the repair and restoration of the roads is completed.
The mayor added that road repair work would not begin until the issues with water supply and sewage are resolved.
He also noted that at the request of the president, a special program aimed at developing new districts by 2030 has been developed. The total funding for this program amounts to about 9 billion soms, of which 2.5-3 billion soms have already been allocated this year.
Additionally, issues regarding land plots in these areas were discussed at the meeting.
Junushaliev stated that during the road construction process, the mayor's office would demolish illegally installed economic structures and new foundations; however, previously identified illegal residential houses would not be demolished.
The mayor also emphasized that the construction of illegal buildings would be unacceptable in the future.
As a result of the meeting, the mayor instructed the heads of relevant services and departments to take specific measures to promptly address the stated problems and set deadlines for their implementation.
