The Ministry of Internal Affairs outlined priorities for 2026: security, cameras, and discipline

On January 23, a board meeting was held at the central office of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, where the results of the operational and service activities of the police for 2025 were summarized.

The event was attended by the Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers and the Head of the Presidential Administration, Adylbek Kasymaliev.

The Minister of Internal Affairs noted that the process of digitalization continues within the structure of the internal affairs agencies. The implementation of video surveillance systems is aimed at ensuring the safety of citizens and maintaining public order.

According to the minister, the implementation of the "Safe Country" project, which was initiated by President Sadyr Japarov, is planned to be completed by the end of 2026. As part of this project, 20,000 video cameras will be installed across the country. An annual action plan for the project has also been approved, and leaders have been tasked with monitoring its implementation.

In addition, the leaders of the internal affairs agencies have been instructed to improve the quality of service to citizens, ensure the reception of the public in an established manner, and respond promptly to requests within the framework of the law.

The leadership of the Ministry of Internal Affairs emphasized the need to strengthen measures to combat corruption, conduct daily explanatory work among employees, as well as enhance cybersecurity and counteract internet fraud and digital threats.

At the conclusion of the meeting, key tasks were identified concerning crime prevention, ensuring the safety of citizens, improving road safety, preventing crimes against minors and cases of domestic violence, as well as enhancing service discipline among employees.
