According to the information provided by the agency, 1205 alimony debtors have been declared wanted, and enforcement proceedings against them have been temporarily suspended.
Last year, the Ministry of Internal Affairs received 1124 cases to take action against those who systematically evade their alimony obligations. Following their review:
- 280 debtors were fined;
- 63 individuals were assigned to community service;
- decisions were made to refuse to initiate criminal cases on 244 materials;
- 18 cases were returned for correction of deficiencies;
- 143 proceedings were terminated;
- 376 materials are under review.
In total, in 2025, 690 million 541 thousand 822 soms were collected in alimony cases.
The General Prosecutor's Office notes that work to hold debtors accountable continues, and evading alimony payments entails serious legal consequences.
