The ruble and tenge have depreciated, the dollar is rising. Currency exchange rates as of January 12.

Based on data from the National Bank of Kyrgyzstan and exchange points in Bishkek, there is an increase in the exchange rate of the dollar and the Chinese yuan, while the euro, Russian ruble, and Kazakh tenge show a decline.

US Dollar Exchange Rate:


  • Official rate from the NB KR: 87.4435 soms (an increase of 0.03 percent).

  • Average rate in exchange offices: buying — 87.32 soms, selling — 87.79 soms.


Euro Exchange Rate:


  • Official rate from the NB KR: 102.5188 soms (a decrease of 0.34 percent).

  • Average rate in exchange offices: buying — 101.52 soms, selling — 102.51 soms.


Russian Ruble Exchange Rate:


  • Official rate from the NB KR: 1.1016 soms (a drop of 1.93 percent).

  • Average rate in exchange offices: buying — 1.081 soms, selling — 1.128 soms.


Kazakh Tenge Exchange Rate:


  • Official rate from the NB KR: 0.1731 soms (a decrease of 0.46 percent).

  • Average rate in exchange offices: buying — 0.1486 soms, selling — 0.1818 soms.


Chinese Yuan Exchange Rate:


  • Official rate from the NB KR: 12.5145 soms (an increase of 0.04 percent).

  • Average rate in exchange offices: buying — 12.7 soms, selling — 13.2 soms.
