The ruble and dollar are rising, the yuan hits a new record. Exchange rates for January 19.

In recent days, there has been an increase in the exchange rates of the US dollar, Russian ruble, and Chinese yuan, while the euro and Kazakh tenge are showing a decline. These changes reflect data provided by the National Bank of Kyrgyzstan and exchange offices in Bishkek.

US Dollar:


  • The National Bank of Kyrgyzstan has set the official rate at 87.45 soms, which means an increase of 0.001 percent.

  • In exchange offices, the average rate is 87.38 soms for buying and 87.8 soms for selling.


Euro:


  • The official euro rate from the NB KR is 101.5251 soms, which is 0.18 percent lower than the previous level. This currency has reached its annual minimum.

  • In exchange offices, the average rate is 101.50 soms for buying and 102.5 soms for selling.


Russian Ruble:


  • The official ruble rate is set at 1.1182 soms, increasing by 0.24 percent.

  • The average rate in exchange offices is 1.107 soms for buying and 1.136 soms for selling.


Kazakh Tenge:


  • The official tenge rate is 0.1709 soms, which is 0.18 percent lower.

  • In exchange offices, the average rate is 0.1447 soms for buying and 0.1807 soms for selling.


Chinese Yuan:


  • The official yuan rate from the NB KR is 12.5489 soms, which is 0.01 percent higher, marking the fourth record since the beginning of 2026.

  • In exchange offices, the average yuan rate is 12.7 soms for buying and 13.5 soms for selling.
