The Federation of Trade Unions of Kyrgyzstan Increased Income from Assets by 71%
At a press conference held at the "Kabar" agency, the chairman of the Federation of Trade Unions of Kyrgyzstan, Muradil Jumadilde uulu, reported a significant increase in income from the remaining five federation properties, which amounted to about 71%.
He noted that this growth is an indicator of more effective management of the union's assets. In 1992, after the dissolution of the All-Union Central Council of Trade Unions (VTSPS), each country received its own trade union properties. Kyrgyzstan received 217 properties, of which 101 were sold to private individuals.
He also reported that there are currently 110 court cases underway, of which 108 are being conducted in cooperation with law enforcement and the prosecutor's office.
According to the head of the FPK, some properties are being returned to state ownership, while others are being managed by the federation itself. He emphasized that the work on the return of illegally alienated properties is completed, and by the end of 2025, all five properties will be restored. These are mainly plots of land intended for the health improvement of workers.
In addition, Muradil Jumadilde uulu discussed issues related to union membership. He mentioned previous problems with member accounting, related to the artificial inflation of numbers due to the system of distributing vouchers.
“The federation conducted a complete inventory. Previously, the union included 23 sectoral and 6 regional committees, and today there are 16 sectoral committees. Currently, the total number of union members is 347,000,” concluded the chairman of the FPK.
