At a press conference, the chairman of the Federation of Trade Unions of Kyrgyzstan, Muradil Jumadilde uulu, announced the active use of the organization's assets.

He noted that previously the main task of the FPU was the distribution of vouchers, but the true purpose of creating trade unions lies in protecting the labor rights of workers.

“Unfortunately, the FPU spent a long time only distributing power and property, rather than fulfilling its primary function. However, with the arrival of a new team in 2024, we have begun to see positive changes,” he added.

Muradil Jumadilde uulu also reminded that the FPU's assets were transferred to the operational management of the presidential administration.

“This became necessary because the trade unions were inefficiently managing the allocated funds. The financing that was supposed to go towards development was misused, resulting in the resorts being in poor condition. Since the transfer of the facilities to the presidential administration, 1.1 billion soms have been allocated for major repairs and the construction of new buildings. These funds came from the Workers' Health Recovery Fund. I remind you that until January 1, 2028, there is a moratorium on the issuance of vouchers, and all funds are directed towards improving conditions in the resorts so that people can recover their health in comfortable conditions,” he emphasized.

In conclusion, he added that five facilities remain under the federation's management, and the income from them has increased by 71%. “This confirms that we have begun to use our assets more effectively,” summarized the chairman of the FPU.
